Direction: Fill in the blank “Light As ______.”
Light as an Activant. In the fashion of the Masstransiscope︎︎︎, where the motion of the train is what sets an otherwise immobile set of panels. Light is a granted aspect of everydayness, it being utilized as a trigger for motion felt mechanic and disassociative. It inflicted thoughts of mundaneness found in the everyday commute, the auto-pilot mode of checking out customers in a retail job. The clearest way to communicate a stop-and-go feature became intertwiened with sonicity and tempo change.
“En la Ciudad de la Furia” by Soda Stereo was chosen as song, for its themes of urban solitude and yearned existential intimacy.
Bird’s view video was created through programming in Google Earth Studio.

Direction: Remake a title sequence to be type-focused and thematically-infused.
Reworked title intro sequence for this 1981 independent movie release. Made use of original type choices to work within its historical confines, edited/ collected vintage footage, created imperfect and gritty typography & imagery done through the use of splattered ink.
